All Or Nothing At All

26 Jul

There are lists and then there are lists. Some are devices created by lazy journalists—some are utilitarian. All seem to have traction in our 36/7 world. The list that follows is a partial enumeration of books received in the past few weeks. Though I should be used to it I am still amazed at the wide horizon of subjects represented— from a biography of the great Hollywood film director Raoul Walsh to singer/song writer Josh Ritter’s debut novel its a sublime cornucopia of instruction, diversion and rumination.
